Wood Working
Woodworking demands a number of different skill sets. First, a background in drafting is always helpful to properly plan and implement a design. Second, it demands respect for power tools such as the wood planer, chop saw, table saw, lathe, and sander. Third, it demands patience. Natural substances like wood are not always agreeable. On a lathe, if not glued properly or with cracks in the wood, chunks can break off, so one needs to take their time. Last, but not least, there is always a personal taste that comes with finishing natural wood. Often a simple stain or sealer will do. Britain has been working with wood and construction in school, for a hobby, and professionally for years. He enjoys the challenge.
